TCSBA offers steel drum and marimba classes for children throughout the year. Our classes teach music fundamentals in a fun, creative and energetic environment. Our instructors and student helpers provide hands on instruction to help students master new skills.

Registration for Summer Classes is open now. There will be one session of marimba and two sessions of steel drum. The first sessions overlap, so if your child wants to do them both, sign up for the marimba session and the second steel drum session. All classes are held at the TCSBA studio (1857 Terminal Drive, Richland)

Marimba Summer Class — June 10-13 & 18-21, 2013

Concert June 21 6:30PM @ Howard Amon Park Cost: $70

• Class A – 9:30-10:15am – 4th grade and up with little or no marimba experience
• Class B – 10:30-11:15am – 5th grade and up with school marimba/steel band or TCSBA class experience
• Class C – 11:30-12:15pm – 6th grade and up with advanced TCSBA class experience or instructor’s permission

Steel Drum Summer Classes

Session 1: June 10-13 & 18-21, 2013 — Concert June 21 6:30PM @ Howard Amon Park
Session 2: June 24-28 & July 1-3 — Concert July 3 (TBD)
Cost: $70 per session
(Note that different songs are taught in each session and you can sign up for both.)

• Class A – 8:30-9:15am – 4th & 5th grade and up with little or no steel drum experience
• Class B – 9:30-10:15am – 5th & 6th grade and up with Summer and/or After School steel drum experience
• Class C – 10:30-11:15am – 6th grade and up with Advance Class experience or a good amount of Summer, After School, Marimba, or school steel drum experience.
