The biggest bash of the year happens on December 7th at Bethel Church (600 Shockley Rd, Richland). All four TCSBA bands will play their Caribbean and African fare and some Christmas songs, too. The Fall after school bands will also wow you with what they’ve learned since they started classes in late September.
Bring along some canned goods for the Tri-Cities Food Bank, and bring your checkbooks and Christmas shopping lists, too. Our silent auction always has amazing gift potential. You’ll also find lots of tasty treats at the bake sale, and even a raffle for great prizes. All proceeds benefit the Tri-Cities Steel Band Association. Thanks for your support!
We’ll see you at the TCSBA Christmas Concert on December 7th from 6-10PM! If you have any questions about the event or if your business would like to donate something for the silent auction, please contact us!
An annual tradition the kids plan for each year is Pirate Day in the Steel Band and Chicken Day in the Marimba band. Check out some of the amazing costumes! Don’t miss these kids in concert Thursday, June 21 at the Thumbnail in Richland (see the calendar for more info).
The Tri-Cities Steel Band Association is offering summer steel drum classes for youth going into 4th grade through 12th grade. Ben Leggett, director of Bram Bratá and OK2Botay youth steel bands, will teach the classes in a fun and low-key learning atmosphere. At these classes, Mr. Leggett will be assisted by many Bram Bratá and OK2Botay members, thus ensuring plenty of individual instruction for each student. At the end of each session, the classes will perform the music they’ve learned at an evening recital in the park! Register today! Continue reading Summer Steel Drum 2012→
